What a special day as we wrapped up the 2025-2026 school year together as a Heritage family. ❤️🩵 Today, we celebrated an incredible year of growth, success, and memories with our faculty and staff. We honored our 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year, Mr. Justin Lane, and recognized three outstanding retirees — Ms. Katie Amspaugh, Dr. Bonnie Iannaccone, and Ms. Paula Umberger — for their years of dedication and impact on generations of Mountaineers. We also spent time celebrating and thanking Mr. Jed West for an incredible decade of leadership at Heritage High School — four years as an AP and six years as Principal. While we are excited for him as he steps into his new role as Blount County Schools Chief of Infrastructure, there is no doubt he leaves a lasting legacy at HHS. He is forever a Mountaineer for Life. ❤️🏔️🩵 The day was filled with laughter, stories, memories, and even a special FaceTime visit from Coach Bennett and our Mountaineer Baseball team competing in the TSSAA State Tournament!
